PROs

  • Sharp and generously sized display
  • A group of camera controls and raw image shooting
  • A replaceable battery
  • Expandable storage.
  • Phablet size screen in a phone size body

CONs

  • Battery life is inadequate
  • There are no significant new software features than its ancestor.
With its lightning quick processor, big and bright display, and 16-megapixel camera that can shoot both JPEG and raw file formats, it’s easy to see how the LG G4 is a greatly performing device. It’s also one of the most enjoyable LG handsets to use because of its interface’s beauty, and has both expandable memory and a removable battery.
Despite all its pros, however, the handset feels like a slightly jerked, eventually repackaged LG G3. An addition is a new leather-clad option but as G4 doesn’t progress far enough beyond its previous endeavor G3, it’s hard to get excited about it.
With its lack of cutting-edge hardware and innovative software, LG played the game very safe with the G4. May be this could turn very disadvantageous for LG G4.
All the elements that made G3 great are back for sure in G4, and they’re better than before. If you liked the LG G3, you’ll like the LG G4 also but may get disappointed with the very less new offerings than G3.
It’s faster, has a great screen and you could be happy to know that by having G4 you will be getting the best camera around.
LG G4 – Design is 148.9 x 76.1 x 9.8 mm, 155g, Plastic edge, Removable back, Rear button
This is a phablet screen in a smart phone’s body. That means that you can use the G4 one-handed as easily as you’d use a 5-inch phone.
Using the LG G4 is even easier than handling a smaller handset, in some respects. The rear button design that’s been around has a little fine tuning and works better than it ever has. It’s a smart designing LG does in whole G series. You get easy access to all the buttons you need with your index finger, by touch alone which is again intelligent showered in designing by G4.
The only problem with the design is taking photos using the physical button, rather than tapping the screen. You can do this on the G4 using the volume-down button, but it’s clumsy.
Ease of use is the major benefit of the rear buttons, but clean design is another. All the edges of the G4 are smooth, save the bottom which is home to the Micro USB port and headphone jack. Nothing interferes with holding the phone.
In almost all respects the LG G4 is built like the G3, if a little taller and thinner. The key difference is a steady curve to the screen. This is nothing like the steeply curved sides on theSamsung Galaxy S6 Edge.
The curve makes the phone ever so slightly banana shaped, LG claims the curve makes the phone “20% tougher” – 20% tougher than what, we’re not sure, although the little bit of flex it has could, potentially, spread the force of an impact better than more rigid handsets. Like the Galaxy S6 Edge.
